What is Toprice.ie?

Toprice.ie is the first serious attempt to create a fully-functional price comparison site dedicated for the Irish market. With categories from Books and DVDs to Consumer Electronics to Home Appliances and Construction materials, you can be assured that your product portfolio will be visible in a relevant position on our website and easily accesible to thousands of prospective customers. Our product database currently holds 82141 in 1903 categories.

Product database

All work on our database is automated. Toprice.ie administrators do not arrange the products and categories manually: instead we request online store owners to submit a file containing their product portfolio. We accept XML and CSV file formats, which can be converted from a traditional spreadsheet using Microsoft Office or other, widely available free software. When Toprice.ie receive your file, we load it into our database and our content management system organises the products into sub-categories, looking for matches from other e-commerce outlets.

We require the XML feed to be submitted every second day of the week, to ensure that your product portfolio listed on Toprice.ie contains accurate pricing and stock information.

Files submitted must contain some basic information about the products on offer – model and manufacturer name, a unique product number, price and product description. We also require links to the product webpage and picture, in order to allow customers to 'click through' to the product of their choice immediately after comparing.

Our site is not only a price comparison site. From the very beginning, we wanted Toprice.ie to be more than just a tool helping customers in making day-to-day savings. Our 'product review' feature enables all customers to rate and comment on products they have picked and shops they have purchased from. Through excellent customer service and affordable prices, your e-commerce site will gain loyal customers, who will recommend your services to others. Your shop's logo will appear on our product pages, and combined with positive ratings and reviews it can serve as a great advertisement for your business.

We ensure that only genuine reviews and comments are posted on the site. Every comment is moderated by our administrators.

Checklist

All shops listed on Toprice.ie are required to:

• Ship products to the Republic of Ireland
• Have a website containing contact details, physical address, phone contact number and Terms of Use
• Display prices (in EUR) including all applicable taxes and have clear information on shipping charges.
• Brand their products with a unique identification number
