The lower glass shelve slides neatly underneath the top shelve which hides the keypad when the computer is not in use. The advantage of the San Diego computer table, is that it sits on 4 wheels which allows the desk to be easily moved if required. The top shelf is 8mm thick. The sliding shelf is 5mm thick.
